The Mercedes-Benz iPod Integration Kit allows control of the Apple iPod through the steering wheel-mounted control buttons. Song information is displayed in instrument cluster. iPod Integration Kit is only compatible with iPod models with standardized dock connector (not compatible with iPod Shuffle or Gen 1 iPods). Controls on iPod are not available when connected to vehicle. This kit may require vehicle coding to activate steering wheel-mounted control buttons and it is recommended it be installed by an MBUSA-approved repair facility. MBUSA does not provide with this kit any means to secure iPod in glovebox-this is the sole responsibility of the customer. MBUSA will not be liable for any damage caused by or to an unsecured iPod.Kit to integrate Apple iPod or Apple iPod Mini control with vehicle controls & audio system. iPod plugs into cable located in glove box. Information is displayed through the instrument cluster display when in Entertainment Mode. iPod is controlled through steering wheel buttons and audio plays through vehicle audio system in AUX mode. iPod will charge when key is on. Available for Select MB vehicles that contain an AUX input mode. Note: After Ipod adaptor is installed AUX mode is no longer available for other devices.
